Towers of Midnight
Towers of Midnight is book thirteen in The Wheel of Time. The Wheel of Time series was started by Robert Jordan and continued by Brandon Sanderson after Jordan passed away. Overall I was very satisfied with this book, the story came to life before me and once more I found that I could not put the book down. Many events that were prophesized in previous books finally happened as the author continues to prepare the characters for the events in the final book. By the end every piece had fallen into place and I was eagerly anticipating the release of the final book, A Memory of Light. I would fully recommend this book and series to any other fantasy lovers.
Please do not read this part of the review if you have not read the rest of the series as there are potential spoilers. Rand is finally himself once more; he begins to fight against the Dark Ones touch on the world in earnest. Galad, now the leader of the Whitecloaks, finally encounters and faces off with Perrin, after discovering that his stepmother Morgase is still alive. Egwene hunts for the forsaken in the White Tower while trying to sort through her feelings for Gawyn, and Gawyn himself is confused by Egwene’s treatment of him. Mat and Elayne discuss Dragons, and Mat gathers together his small band of heroes to enter the lair of the snakes and foxes to fight for an old friend’s life. Finally Aviendha journeys to Rhuidean where she sees a dark vision of the Aiel’s future.
My rating for Towers of Midnight is 5/5.
