Knife of Dreams
Wheel of Time
Robert Jordan’s Knife of Dreams is book eleven in The Wheel of Time; it continues the series legacy of intricate and entwining plotlines. The pace of Jordan’s writing begins to increase in this book as he starts to prepare his characters for Tarmon Gai'don, the final battle.
Please do not read this part of the review if you have not read the rest of the series as there are potential spoilers. In the novel Egwene, now captured by Elaida, has to adapt to her new situation, Elayne accomplishes two goals as the conflict for the throne of Andor reaches its conclusion and the darkfriend Aes Sedai (a full sister in an order of magic users) in the palace is finally revealed. Perrin is finally ready to make his assault on the Shaido Aiel (a warrior tribe that refuses to follow Rand) and Rand attends a meeting with the Seanchan which ends badly, this event drives Rand to believe that he has to be stronger and harder, as he hardens himself against the pain he also begins to lose some of the compassion and empathy that he still retains.
My rating for Knife of Dreams is 4.5/5.
