A Note: As Darkness Falls
You watch as the darkness falls. The sun slowly sinks towards the horizon its fiery rays stretching across the skies before you. It isn't long before the sun dips below the far off mountains.
Colour and detail fade away leaving you trapped in a landscape of stark blacks only broken by the illumination of the pale moon. In the darkness the world seems bleak, even that feeble light swallowed whole by shadow.
Things seem impossible in that darkness. Thoughts grow simpler yet lead to reflections which become more complex. Fear grows, its voice silencing your own. But amidst it all one thing remains certain.
When the sun rises it will seem that much brighter.
