Warbreaker
Brandon Sanderson’s Warbreaker is one of my favourite novels to date, it is on my reread list and I would recommend it to anyone. There is no real reason not to read this book as at the time of this writing Warbreaker is freely available on Brandon Sanderson’s website in PDF format. That being said I guess I should go into a little more detail on the book.
Sanderson is a master at creating realistic and believable characters. These characters slowly reveal information allowing the reader to uncover the intricate plots using the various perspectives presented in the story. At the end of the story the plots all come together in an incredibly satisfying way.
The world in Warbreaker has a unique version of magic, this magic, called breath, uses colour to focus its power. In the novel an exiled princess returns to the capital of her own kingdom to marry the God King there in order to prevent an invasion of her home in exile. What she finds is not what she expected, she finds unlikely allies among the court of the God King and even gleams some truth about the divinity of the realms gods.
My rating for Warbreaker is 5/5.
